Kristy was glad to have had private health cover when she noticed her second child developing a speech delay. Upon professional inspection, the problem was revealed to be blocked Eustachian tubes, requiring grommets and the removal of his adenoids.
In addition to surgery, he also underwent years of speech therapy and visited an Operational Therapist to assist with his handwriting skills.
It was critical for Kristy in this instance that the surgery was carried out quickly, and that her child received any additional assistance he required to ensure minimal disruption to his education and overall development. Thankfully, her private health was able to assist with both the timing of the surgery and the costs involved.
No longer hindered by the speech delay, Kristy’s son is now excelling at school.
